Kumachan Onsen: The Hot Pot Bear That Melts in a Sauna
IIf you know me, you probably already know that I have a weakness for themed restaurants. Add an adorable bear sitting in a hot pot “onsen” to the equation and, well… obviously I had to go.
Kumachan Onsen is a shabu-shabu restaurant in Shibuya where your meal comes with an adorable little bear made from gelatin. The bear sits in the middle of your hot pot, complete with his tiny towel, and slowly melts into the broth as everything cooks.
And yes, the bear is literally taking a bath.
